Welcome to Student Booster ("we", "our", or "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. If you have any questions or concerns about this privacy notice or our practices with regard to your personal information, please contact us.

1. What information do we collect?

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the App, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, when you participate in activities on the App, or otherwise when you contact us.

• Personal Information Provided by You. We collect names; email addresses; passwords; institution data; and other similar information.
• Payment Data. We may collect data necessary to process your payment if you make purchases, such as your payment instrument number, and the security code associated with your payment instrument. All payment data is stored by our payment processors (e.g., Stripe, MTN Mobile Money, Airtel Money).
• Study Materials and Content. We collect the files, notes, and documents you upload to generate study materials, examinations, and flashcards.

2. How do we use your information?

We use personal information collected via our App for a variety of business purposes described below:

• To facilitate account creation and logon process.
• To generate AI-powered study materials. Your uploaded notes and queries are processed by our specialized educational AI, SaLi AI, to generate flashcards, summaries, and exam questions.
• To manage user accounts and Tutor subscriptions.
• To request feedback and to contact you about your use of our App.

3. Will your information be shared with anyone?

We only share information with your consent, to comply with laws, to provide you with services, to protect your rights, or to fulfill business obligations.

Specifically, we may need to process your data or share your personal information in the following situations:

• Service Providers: We use third-party service providers, contractors, or agents who perform services for us or on our behalf. This includes Supabase for secure database hosting, and Anthropic for powering SaLi AI generation. However, SaLi AI models DO NOT train on your personal study data.
• Tutors: If you are a student subscribing to a Tutor on the platform, your profile name and academic statistics relating to their courses are shared with them for educational monitoring.

4. How long do we keep your information?

We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this privacy notice unless otherwise required by law. When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information.

5. Account Deletion and Data Rights

You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data at any time. You can delete your account directly through the App by navigating to Dashboard → Profile → Settings and clicking Delete Account. Upon doing so, all personal information, uploaded notes, AI generations, and exam submissions will be permanently wiped from our active databases.
